  On March 13, I walked up our country dirt road, remedy bag in hand to a neighbor's home.  The morning still, the sun warm, the air floral scented as spring, emerald green clothed the valley. Birdsong was the theme. I had worked on this mare before, years ago. The mare was pregnant, soon to foal. She had a bit of discharge that caused the guardian concern. No vet was able to come.  I got the text and went to see the mare the following day. A beautiful racer she is, so full of life - in so many ways.  The mare settled into the work. I left remedies and instructions... This past Saturday I got the text, the babe was born. Arriving in the Year of the Fire Horse, right after the Full Moon in Aries - this one will be a firecracker! Its Not the Bug

Quite the state we humans find ourselves in. You could smell the blood in the water for years, but human addicted denial reins supreme. It is never the bug, but a distorted vital force that allows disease. Welcome the pause. So many scared theories echoed through human pin-hole perception. So much contradictory ego babble coming from leaders and experts lips. The media so good at spooking the herd, watch em stampede. Quite the social experiment we are living. Last  years double earthquake should have had Californians better prepared. Then the Edison blackouts, the constant stress does not help when virulent strains are created - how ever they come about. Isolating social beings compounds the strain.. Science is splicing genes at an alarming rate, with very little regard to consequence. Many vaccines are genetically modified, when these modified bugs shed, they wreak havoc on those with natural immunity, the new bug is morphed and has its own agenda. When will we learn? Genet...

Goldie

  Sometimes, life graces you with a good buddy for many years. This was the case with Goldie, 17 years of steadfast comradery.  She was found as a 3 month old pup, roaming a parking lot. I was observing her from a far. Those she approached for help shunned her. I rolled the old El Co up near her, opened the door, squatted on the ground and said, "most don't listen well do they kid?" She sheepishly approached me, ears back, tail wagging with an embarrassed look in those gorgeous, black lined, eyes.  She hopped in the car. We did a courtesy round through the parking lot asking if she belonged to anyone - we were ignored.  I drove home with my new buddy and she easily joined the existing pack of Murphy, Winston, ChiDoxie and Peppy. She fit like a glove in the household and was nothing but perfect. Her cross of shepherd and Golden was just the sweetest, loving and caring mix. As she grew into her perfect self, she was the perfect momma to all the pack. The surviving part...
