Solandana, a place to rest

Her name is Solandana, the yearning, the longing. A life long dream come true.  Sparked and gifted by a benevolent benefactors' grateful healing. This is more than I ever could have hoped for. She is being transformed, to a place of rest. The field needs clearing, the barn yet to be built. The ponies and I can't wait. My place to rest, recoup and reconstitute for what's next. My place to roam and finish my earths' tutelage, I feel like have been accepted to the worlds finest university. The land, new plants and so many wild beings have so much to teach me. We hope to be settled by early summer. I will be taking some serious time off. Then there will be retreats, more books to write, classes, workshops and clinics to teach. Till then, dream on!

Free, to let your feet roam. Free, to see what the day brings. Free, from constraint of "civilized". What ever that means, Free, to smell an orchestra of herbal scents and healing. Free, to soak in the warm, healing sun.  Free, to hear oh so many melodies of birdsong.  Free, to take n multitudes of blooms, hatchlings, births  and revel in Springs renewal. Free, from human chaos. Free, in Nature's order.

Goldie

  Sometimes, life graces you with a good buddy for many years. This was the case with Goldie, 17 years of steadfast comradery.  She was found as a 3 month old pup, roaming a parking lot. I was observing her from a far. Those she approached for help shunned her. I rolled the old El Co up near her, opened the door, squatted on the ground and said, "most don't listen well do they kid?" She sheepishly approached me, ears back, tail wagging with an embarrassed look in those gorgeous, black lined, eyes.  She hopped in the car. We did a courtesy round through the parking lot asking if she belonged to anyone - we were ignored.  I drove home with my new buddy and she easily joined the existing pack of Murphy, Winston, ChiDoxie and Peppy. She fit like a glove in the household and was nothing but perfect. Her cross of shepherd and Golden was just the sweetest, loving and caring mix. As she grew into her perfect self, she was the perfect momma to all the pack. The surviving part...
