Snow on Cherry Plum

Image
Snow on Cherry Plum A new flower essence was born, one that seems so relevant given the times. I was awestruck by the sight, a spring flurry of whimsical, fluffy snow draped the flowering cherry plum in a robe of white. A glimmer of pink shown through the opalescent covering. The pics really don't do justice. A sterile jar of clear water was placed in its crook the no touch method was used. It sat in its crook for night and day. till the snow melted away. I thought the next day, why? Edward Bach already had the flower essence Cherry Plum, known to ease the feeling of ones mind giving way. Then I recalled my impromptu proving of snow last year and it all became crystal clear. Cherry has a long history of easing the effects of "high living" in material form. The gentleness of essences impart a most delicate nuance of easing the stress many now feel with the world changes at such manic paces. Snow and its demand for stillness, as...

Its Not the Bug

Image
Quite the state we humans find ourselves in. You could smell the blood in the water for years, but human addicted denial reins supreme. It is never the bug, but a distorted vital force that allows disease. Welcome the pause. So many scared theories echoed through human pin-hole perception. So much contradictory ego babble coming from leaders and experts lips. The media so good at spooking the herd, watch em stampede. Quite the social experiment we are living. Last  years double earthquake should have had Californians better prepared. Then the Edison blackouts, the constant stress does not help when virulent strains are created - how ever they come about. Isolating social beings compounds the strain.. Science is splicing genes at an alarming rate, with very little regard to consequence. Many vaccines are genetically modified, when these modified bugs shed, they wreak havoc on those with natural immunity, the new bug is morphed and has its own agenda. When will we learn? Genet...

Repose

Image
It took Medicine Hat aka Pinky a long time to feel safe enough to lay down all allow communion. Yet here in this place of grace, it finally happened. I don't believe in "training" a horse to lay down. That is a trick most surely to be misused in the horse world. What I learned long ago, is to open a space so sacred and safe, beings feel at peace to release on such a deep level. The difference speaks for itself. Shavasana, corps pose, let gravity do the work to bring the body back to balance after deep rest. Do we really know what that entails? Do we really know how to allow that innate wisdom of the planet and universe to flow through us? Once we open to that infinite and timeless wisdom like the land, plants and animals do, we return to function with the planet and not against Her. How many beings understand the power in that? How many really want that? What I call Equine Guided Healing has evolved since my early days. Pinky and...

Mountain

Image
It took me a long time to feel sound enough to come up here. For over a year, I observed Her. Shrouded in clouds, veils of fog, clear and strong, the Lady makes her own weather. The higher perspective the mountains provide. Like the old song says, "I've been all over, and it been all over me". LA took a lot out of me, it took till now to feel the lovely mountains' invitation and my acquiesce. Miles long walks in the hilly valley where we live. Wonderful homeopathic remedies  that allowed me to feel the dross of ages leave my body like ethereal shrapnel pulled from my energy field and body, I have never left such relaxation in my old body, its good to be me again.   I had the mountain to myself. Liberated from the encumbrance of obligation and expectation of others.  The snow still heavy, the way too icy for abandon. The original peoples here named the mountain well, Tehachepi is said to mean a hard climb, but what wonder to smell the ...

Winters Repose

Image
The 1st red leaf of autumn fell Aug. 1, 2019. I looked up at the Red Maple and asked her - How do you know? Despite the pollution, one side of the Great Mother burns, the other side floods. Chem trails, frying life with 5G, still, She knows. All the creatures heeded the warning, feasting on Summers and Autumns bounty.  Growing full coats, storing up supplies. The 1st winter storms, more like those that come in January or February. the creatures knew, humans and their computers, not so much. Winter stillness the creatures heed, Humans keep fanatic running,  caving in to ego and greed, The harshness of extremes call the sick and old home. Traditional Chinese Medicine knows, the Jing carried in the kidneys, the strength of your ancestors is spent. There is only so much fuel in the tank. The hardy survive, a chorus of birds begins to sing Spring back into being. In the depths of winter, the shortest day is past, c...

Seasons Greetings

Image
Seasons Greetings from Solandana A rest in the sun, before the storms. The mighty oak, centuries old, doesn't mind, just another year. Stark trees, the feeble winter sun. Ponies don't mind, the little trio is my joy as is the beautiful, sturdy barn. Gone is the green, deep rest finds us. May the deep peace of Winter find you.

Introducing Miss Dolly Madison

Image
Ladies and Gentlemen, I am pleased to announce Solandana's newest member, Miss Dolly  Madison... She lived close by and needed some TLC. In another blog we will go into more detail as she will be a most exquisite study of human intentions on the equine body. She is older and a pony (under 14.2 hands), she is in her 20's.  I have waited a month to post pics, as her initial pics showed a very skinny pony. So even though she needs to muscle up and fill out some more, realize these pics are a month into her stay here. She spent some time in the round pen, getting to know Pinky and Belle. She was alone for a long time and needed some time to rebuild her equine social skills. The second day after her arrival I felt like a kid at Christmas, be it she was a very skinny pony. I was up at 4am and it was the neatest thing to walk next door to the barn and peek in on them all. As you can see, the herd of 3 is getting along just fine. There is s...

Harvest Moon

Image
The Harvest Moon of late summer The quail people climb into the Willows at dusk, the bats of the night shift fly out to feast on bugs. Frogs croak, crickets sing, the nightly summer chorus begins. The Coyotes howl as they do on Full Moons That primal, haunting cacophony. I smile to myself and allow the sound to embrace my feral self. I may not be fit for human ways anymore. Sunflowers bow their heads to the fading sun. The Earth brings forth her best, both bearing  fruit and seed, while getting ready to retreat for winters rest. Deer visit frequently, young bucks, rutting season will start soon. Anytime the wild ones show,  I get lost in wonder.  There is no fear, just pure experience.  The wild ways, creatures in charge of their own volition,  keeping time with ancient song. I linger and watch,  cause God came to visit in a place where all life matters. The season of gratitude beg...

Summer

Image
Its been a most wonderful summer. The bounty of the earth in full swing. It seems we are in the midst of harvesting, canning and freezing all the goodness that surrounds us. Rose petals infused and dried for further candies and lotions. Apricots, raspberries, Oregon grape, Elderberry, Cherries, pears, apples and more. Lovely visits from family, The Mountain Festival, the youngsters coming of age riding the tractor, ride mower and honing driving skills down dirt country roads just like we did out in the desert all those years ago. I am so happy to be in a place where kids can still grow in such freedoms! The Mountain Blue birds returned, along with many other summer favorites. I saw my first California Condor, what I sight, almost extinct, the 1,000 chick just born. How bankrupt my soul would be had I never laid eyes on that gigantic soaring wonder. Deer and Elk roam the neighborhood. They sleep in surrounding fields. Such Majesty they bring. Most creatures here...

Earthquakes

About 2 weeks before, you begin to feel uneasy, queasy, nervous and fearful. Not your norm, but as a sensitive you know somethings off. So do the critters. As it gets closer you feel a certain heaviness to the air, the ground gives the feeling it wants to vomit. The best one can put it into words. The horses were reluctant to leave the barn. Yeah, there's your sign. They poop in places they didn't before. The dogs were extra clinging, the cats nervous, leaping from window to window. Birds act erratic, nervous flight, bickering and "alarm calls" abundant. Just before it hits, the normal chatter of the natural world goes silent, eerily silent and then it hits. The wind sometimes blows with such powerful gusts here, the whole house buffets. A quick glance outside to still leaves on the trees lets you know, this is different. Many times one can feel a quake in the atmosphere before the ground quakes. Its like the crack breaking free deep in the belly of the earth, c...
